CALIBRATIONOur vision was to see how the system operates and how we can develop the automation through trial and error. This required many sea trials to determine the ideal setting for our 3 basic functions; speed, direction, and time.

Once calibration was complete we replaced the human input with the control signal from the vision system. The vision system will examine its surrounding and determine the angle (in degrees) and distance required (in feet) to establish itself relative to buoys or sample targets. Additionally, we calibrated to the various light conditions to determine the red and green buoy color.
